Get To Know: Jackson Square

Introducing our latest digital mall location

Introducing Jackson Square Shopping Centre, the latest addition to Limited Space’s expanding Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) portfolio across the UK’s leading shopping centres and malls. Strategically located in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford, Jackson Square welcomes approximately 4.7 million visitors annually, making it a high-impact location for retail-focused digital advertising. This premium site offers brands a valuable opportunity to connect with a diverse, economically active audience in a vibrant retail environment.

Affluent and Professional Demographics

Bishop’s Stortford is a well-established and affluent commuter town within the London belt, home to over 41,000 residents. The town’s population is predominantly made up of professionals, with over 13% working as managers, directors, or senior officials, and more than 20% in high-earning professional roles. A significant portion of the population holds degree-level qualifications, contributing to a well-educated, high-spending consumer base ideal for premium brand advertising.

The town also benefits from strong transport infrastructure, with direct rail links to London and proximity to Stansted Airport, attracting both local and transient audiences. Its robust property market—marked by prices significantly above the national average—further highlights the area's strong spending power and relevance for high-value advertising campaigns.

Strategic Retail Environment

Located in an affluent region, Jackson Square Shopping Centre offers a thriving retail environment, featuring over 45 stores including household names such as Next, H&M, Pandora, and The Entertainer, alongside popular F&B outlets like Starbucks, Nando’s, and Pret A Manger. The mix ensures sustained dwell time and high engagement—key metrics for effective OOH and digital mall advertising.

The centre is also undergoing a major redevelopment, including the launch of a 21,000 sq ft TK Maxx store, scheduled to open in summer 2025. This investment is expected to drive further footfall, enhance the customer experience, and create new advertising value. Recent tenant activity—including store refurbishments and new openings—signals a vibrant, future-ready retail destination ideal for dynamic DOOH strategies.

Limited Space has recently installed 4 new HD D6 screens across the centre as part of our extensive L&G digital expansion

Commitment to Sustainability and Community

Jackson Square is dedicated to environmental sustainability, achieving a 28% recycling rate in early 2024 and sending 0% waste to landfill. The centre supports local community initiatives by providing free space to over 80 community groups in 2023. These efforts underscore its role as a responsible and community-focused establishment.

A Powerful Addition to the Limited Space D6 Network

As part of our national D6 digital screen network, Limited Space has installed four state-of-the-art D6 screens within Jackson Square, enabling advertisers to harness the full potential of premium DOOH advertising in UK shopping centres. These full-motion digital displays are strategically placed in high-traffic zones, offering unmissable brand presence within a brand-safe, high-engagement environment.

Jackson Square offers unique reach into a highly desirable demographic—professional commuters and affluent families—that may be missed in broader OOH strategies. Its inclusion in a campaign ensures incremental coverage and enhanced impact, adding value to media plans targeting quality audiences in real-world, purchase-ready moments.

Being part of Limited Space’s UK-wide D6 digital advertising network, Jackson Square contributes to a consistent, scalable, and data-driven media solution. It allows brands and media agencies to execute campaigns that are both locally resonant and nationally impactful.

The installation of the new portrait D6 digital screens at Jackson Square continues the rollout of Limited Space's recently announced exclusive partnership with Legal & General (L&G) to modernise digital media across L&G's retail and leisure portfolio.

This collaboration encompasses the rollout of 107 D6 digital out-of-home (DOOH) screens and two premium large-format landscape screens across 50 UK schemes, including more flagship centres like The Beacon and Jackson Square . By spearheading this initiative at Jackson Square, Limited Space underscores its commitment to enhancing consumer experiences and providing brands with dynamic, high-impact advertising opportunities in prime retail environments.
