LIMITED SPACE, INTU AND ADI WIN AT DAILYDOOH GALA AWARDS

Limited Space, together with intu, the owner of the UK’s largest and most popular shopping and retail destinations, and digital screen specialists ADI, won big at this year's DailyDOOH Gala Awards.

Picking up the award for ‘Most Innovative Use Of Technology’, the partnership was rewarded for its work on intu’s brand new shopper screens which are part of the EPOCH range, designed, manufactured and installed by ADI, and included in Limited Space’s Orbit advertising network.

The award recognised the innovative and ground-breaking nature of the new screens which can all rotate 90 degrees between portrait and landscape orientations as demonstrated by a recent campaign for the launch of Despicable Me 3.

Specifically designed to take advantage of the screen rotation, the campaign used a custom animation that saw the film’s main character, Gru, battling it out with his minions for airtime – seemingly pushing them off the edge of the screen as it rotated upwards between a landscape and portrait version of the movie trailer. Combined with high definition dynamic display and audio, the format provides a unique, creative and impactful digital platform that provides value on both an advertising and shopper experience level.

The screens are part of a continuing partnership between intu, Limited Space and ADI that has already seen a network of giant screens installed this year at intu Lakeside, intu Metrocentre, intu Merry Hill and intu Braehead.

Established in 2012, The DailyDOOH Gala Awards recognises excellence and promotes best practice in the Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) industry. The awards ceremony took place at Banqueting House, Whitehall, London SW1A 2ER on Thursday November 30, 2017.
